High School Special Education Teacher - Sonoma, CA
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Sonoma, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support high school students with moderate to severe disabilities in a collaborative educational environment.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' academic, social, behavioral, and functional development while working alongside a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications:
Valid California Education Specialist Credential required
CTC Certified ESN, M/S, or equivalent credential required
Previous experience working with moderate to severe populations preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Ability to develop and implement effective instructional strategies for diverse learning needs
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support for students with moderate to severe disabilities in grades 9–12
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation regarding student progress
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
Support students' academic, social, behavioral, and functional skill development
Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Caseload:
High School (Grades 9–12)
Moderate to Severe Program
