- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong ability to modify curriculum and create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with students, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all learners
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging instruction and adapting teaching methods to meet each student’s unique needs
- Developing and implementing thoughtful IEPs in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team
- Maintaining compliant records and ongoing assessment of student progress
- Partnering with parents and staff to create strategies that drive academic and social development
- Participating in school meetings, professional development, and ongoing training sessions
