Key Qualifications:
- Possession of current Elementary Certification (required)
- At least 1 year of experience teaching students with special needs, preferably in severe/profound settings
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students with severe/profound needs, adapting lessons to meet individual goals
- Develop and maintain individualized education programs (IEPs) in close coordination with parents, fellow educators, and support staff
- Use evidence-based strategies and assistive technologies tailored to diverse learning requirements
- Foster an inclusive, safe, and enriching classroom atmosphere
- Document progress and participate in regular meetings and professional development sessions
