Special Education Teacher in Sterling Heights, MI

As a Certified Special Education Teacher, you will design and implement individualized instruction to meet the diverse needs of young learners. Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teaching License with CI (Cognitively Impaired) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) endorsement
- Certification in CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), or willingness to obtain and keep certification current
- Experience working with children in grades K–2 preferred
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver specialized instructional plans tailored to individual student goals
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom culture to enhance learning opportunities
- Work closely with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed
