- Comprehensive understanding of IEPs and the ability to develop, implement, and review them effectively
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Patience, flexibility, and a creative approach to problem-solving
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ IEP goals
- Provide direct instruction in academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and related service providers
- Use assessment data to adjust teaching strategies for each student’s learning style and progress
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of student progress and IEP compliance
- Engage families as educational partners in the decision-making process and student support
