Special Education Teacher

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Tooele, UT. This full-time position offers the opportunity to support students in a Life Skills classroom while fostering academic, functional, social, and independent living skills in a supportive educational environment.
This role provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the skills necessary for success both in and out of the classroom while working alongside a collaborative team of educators and support staff.

Qualifications:
- Active Utah Special Education License/Certification required
- Previous experience working with students in a Life Skills or special education setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Commitment to creating a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction aligned with students' IEP goals and educational needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Support students' academic, social, behavioral, functional, and independent living skill development
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
- Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
