Desired Qualifications:
- Active continuing license preferred OR a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in Delaware, including completion of the Comprehensive Induction Program (CIP)
- Experience in Special Education classrooms or as a Special Education Teacher
- Ability to adapt to a diverse student population with varying needs
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive educational environment
- Upon offer, must complete a Favorable Criminal Background Check, Child Abuse Registry Check, Tuberculin Test, and physical
- Participation in mandatory direct deposit for payroll
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate special education programs for assigned caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to instructional staff regarding best practices
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and facilitate communication among stakeholders
