What You’ll Bring:
- Possession of a valid California CTC teaching credential specializing in Special Education
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly within resource settings
- Demonstrated ability to support students with mild to moderate disabilities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Organizational skills to manage a caseload of approximately 28 students
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Provide targeted instruction and interventions in small group or one-on-one settings
- Track and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed for success
- Collaborate regularly with colleagues, families, and specialists to support student achievement
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal special education requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and school-based team discussions
