Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license meeting Tennessee requirements
- 460 endorsement or 145 endorsement suitable for Middle School Intervention
- Previous experience working with middle school-aged students in a special education context preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and accommodations
- Ability to cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom where every student can succeed
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, parents, and school teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction to middle school students in an inclusion/resource room setting
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support co-teaching and push-in interventions
- Monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure effective learning
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Foster a safe, respectful, and motivating classroom environment
