Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for NY State
- Early Childhood and K–12 certifications strongly preferred
- Experience in self-contained classroom environments
- Background working with students requiring individualized behavior plans
- Must have or obtain required state clearances for consideration
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction for self-contained Kindergarten or SFP classes
- Develop and implement effective IEPs and tailored learning strategies
- Collaborate closely with classroom staff and related service providers
- Employ positive behavioral interventions and supports
- Engage families and caregivers in the educational process
