Special Education Teacher | West Chester, Ohio

Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those in alternative or dropout recovery settings, strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to deliver differentiated instruction and foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in meeting varying student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction, intervention, and case management for assigned students
- Develop, review, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) ensuring adherence to regulations and best practices
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and service providers to support student achievement
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and caregivers to keep them informed and engaged
- Foster a positive classroom culture that encourages student participation, growth, and resilience
