Special Education Teacher | West Hartford, Connecticut

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Certification (165 Endorsement) is required
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs, adapting methods to meet IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with general education staff, specialists, and families to promote student success
- Assess student growth and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
