Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Special Education General Curriculum Certification
- Certification across all academic content areas (Reading, Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies)
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Strong classroom management skills, especially for behavioral support
- Ability to provide professional references, including a recent supervisor
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in GNETS or alternative educational settings
- Familiarity working with students with significant behavioral and emotional needs
- CPI, de-escalation, or behavior management training
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction to middle school students in the GNETS program
- Develop and adapt IEPs, monitor progress, and maintain documentation
- Implement positive behavior interventions
- Collaborate with families, other educators, and related service providers
