Bilingual Therapies Schools - Special Education Teacher Contract Today Apply

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their educational growth in an engaging school community. Three contract positions are available for experienced Special Education Teachers for the upcoming school year. These roles offer the chance to work collaboratively in diverse educational settings, empowering students with unique learning needs.

Qualifications & Endorsements:

  • Current Vermont Professional Teaching License with one of the following:
    • Special Educator Endorsement
    • Special Education Consulting Teacher Endorsement
    • Intensive Special Education Teacher Endorsement
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to work with students with executive function challenges, Autism, and behavioral needs
  • Innovative mindset and flexibility to adapt to new pilot programs
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Fingerprinting clearance (recent school assignment fingerprints may be accepted)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instructional support to students across assigned caseloads
  • High School (2 roles): Guide students in a new pilot program to develop life and employment skills; teach students at various ability levels, including those working at the tech center
  • Elementary (1 role): Collaborate with a team of teachers and PT/OT staff to support students with learning disabilities and high-functioning Autism
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized goals
  • Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and communicate with caregivers and support staff
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
  • Commit to a full-time (35 hours/week) contract from August 19, 2026, to June 14, 2027 onsite
