Multiple positions are available for dedicated special education professionals, including openings in both life skills and behavioral support classrooms across elementary and middle school settings. All assignments are full-time, onsite, and tailored to your background and interests, serving a vital population from kindergarten through grade 12.
Available roles include:
- Middle school life skills program: Support 12 students with the help of 4 instructional assistants, focusing on both behavior management and foundational academic abilities.
- Elementary K-2 developmental classroom: Guide 16 children—many with non-verbal needs—in developing key skills, supported by 5 instructional assistants.
- Intensive Behavioral Health Center: Two positions supporting a specialized elementary (grades 3-5) program, serving 13 students with significant behavioral needs and 4 dedicated instructional assistants.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential, appropriate for K-12 settings.
- Prior experience working with students with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral disabilities is highly valued.
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and functional routines.
- Comfort collaborating with instructional assistants and school staff in dynamic, team-based environments.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to varying caseloads and student needs.
- Onsite attendance is required for all roles.
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement lesson plans tailored to individual and group learning needs.
- Assess student progress, maintain IEP documentation, and collaborate with support staff.
- Foster a positive classroom environment focused on growth, safety, and inclusion.
- Communicate regularly with families and stakeholders.
