Desired Qualifications:
- Current and active Special Education Certification (SPED) with at least one of the following endorsements: Self Contained, Core Subjects, or Generalist (endorsement must be appropriate for assigned grade levels)
- Experience working in life skills, functional academics, or similar special education settings is highly preferred
- Strong instructional, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt lessons to individual needs and foster a positive, inclusive classroom
- Proven track record working effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to supporting whole-child development
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, individualized instruction for students in a structured FASE (Life Skills) classroom
- Assess and monitor student growth, adjusting strategies and supports as needed
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Handle all required documentation, including IEP/ARD preparation and progress monitoring
- Establish a safe, nurturing environment to encourage social, academic, and functional success
