1:1 School Nurse (LPN) Special Education Student - contract
LPN for a Special Education Student, Anaheim, CA
Work Schedule: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
School Day Schedule: 11:39 AM – 6:00 PM, as needed
Pay: $35/hour
Position Overview
ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dependable 1:1 School Nurse to support a student with special needs in an Anaheim school setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a school nurse who enjoys working closely with students and collaborating with school staff to provide safe, consistent, and individualized care.
The nurse will provide general student health support and seizure monitoring, with a primary focus on the student's safety and well-being throughout the school day.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with special needs
Monitor the student for seizure activity and follow the student's established seizure care plan
Respond appropriately to seizure activity and other health-related needs
Provide general health and nursing support as needed
Monitor and document relevant health information
Communicate with school staff regarding the student's health and safety
Support the student in participating safely in the school environment
Collaborate with the school's health office and educational team
Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional documentation
Follow all school, district, and nursing protocols
Schedule
Regular schedule: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Qualifications
Active nursing license appropriate for practice in California
Experience working with children or students preferred
Experience with special needs populations preferred
Experience with seizure monitoring and/or seizure care preferred
Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently in a school environment
