Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education or related field
- Valid Minnesota PELSB Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility via reciprocity)
- Demonstrated experience developing, managing, and implementing IEPs
- Deep knowledge of IDEA, case management, and special education compliance
- Specialized experience in the following areas is a plus:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and structured teaching strategies
- Emotional/Behavioral Disorders (EBD) and crisis prevention
- Special education eligibility assessments and multidisciplinary teaming
- Behavior and academic interventions, PBIS, MTSS, FBAs, BIPs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and participate in eligibility determinations
- Develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide specialized instruction tailored to student goals
- Maintain thorough progress documentation and compliance with Minnesota standards
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, related service providers, and families
