Special Education Teacher - Anoka, MN
Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting young learners by providing specialized instruction tailored to their unique needs. As a full-time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, you'll play a key role in the "Ready, Set, Launch" program—an elementary-level center-based initiative focused on assisting students with autism and diverse developmental profiles. You will work closely with a collaborative team to foster growth and empower student success.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience in early childhood or elementary special education, particularly with autism or significant developmental delays
- Strong skills in adapting curriculum and managing diverse learning styles
- Dedication to creating a nurturing, inclusive environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with other educators, therapists, and families
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans within the Ready, Set, Launch program
- Foster student growth through evidence-based instructional strategies and supports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address IEP goals and student needs
- Assess, monitor, and document student progress on an ongoing basis
- Participate in IEP meetings, team conferences, and family communication as needed
- Manage a classroom of learners with varying abilities, promoting a safe and positive atmosphere
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
This contract opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:40 pm, with a caseload designed for meaningful engagement in a supportive environment. The assignment will continue through June 10, 2027.
