Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid professional licensure in Special Education (LBSI) for middle school level
- Demonstrated experience providing instructional and resource support to 8th grade students
- Confidence working independently across multiple classrooms and collaborating in co-taught environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning experience for all students
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging co-taught and resource instruction for 8th grade students, with resource classes averaging 8-10 students
- Split your teaching schedule between two well-equipped campuses, located just minutes apart
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans and maintain progress records
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Participate in professional development and staff meetings as part of contract hours
- Create a supportive classroom atmosphere that prioritizes student growth, independence, and confidence
- Adhere to scheduled staff contract times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:20am-2:50pm; Wednesday 7:20am-3:05pm
This position begins August 17, 2026, with the option to attend a new teacher orientation running August 5-11 if onboarding is completed in time, and runs through May 28, 2027, for a 35-hour workweek plus a daily 30-minute lunch.
