Key Qualifications:
- Hold current Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
- Demonstrated capability in managing and nurturing students with severe and behavioral needs
- Comfortable teaching multiple subject areas
- Skilled in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs across multiple subjects
- Collaborate with aides, therapists, and school staff to provide holistic student support
- Create and maintain a positive classroom culture promoting social and academic growth
- Implement behavioral intervention strategies consistent with student IEPs
- Monitor progress and adapt instruction to maximize student achievement
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student successes and areas for growth
