Step into a vital role supporting student growth as a Special Education Teacher for a contract position at a dynamic middle school. As an onsite IRR educator, you’ll work with a focused caseload of 15–18 students, collaborating closely with general education staff and ensuring each learner receives tailored, effective instruction. Your skill in maintaining classroom structure and keeping thorough documentation will be key to student and program success.
This full-time opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with your expertise needed as soon as possible through May 26, 2027. Your day-to-day will involve implementing IEPs, fostering an inclusive environment, and building positive relationships that empower students to thrive.
What you bring:
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Certification or comparable Georgia Special Education Teaching Certification — required
- Demonstrated school-based special education teaching experience
- Familiarity with developing and executing IEPs
- Exceptionally strong collaboration skills and classroom management abilities
- Ability to provide clear documentation of student goals, progress, and behavior
- Reliable transportation for daily onsite duties
- Full-time, onsite availability throughout the academic year
