You will work onsite and collaborate closely with other dedicated education professionals in a supportive environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education
- Valid Illinois teaching license with LBS1 endorsement
- Passion for working with students with diverse abilities
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- School-based experience is a plus, but motivated new grads are welcome to apply
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individualized instructional programs for students with significant needs
- Implement effective strategies for academic, social, and life skills development
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet varying abilities
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and families to maximize student growth
- Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
This is a 40-hour per week opportunity based at a supportive site. The role comes with attractive compensation, earning over $45 per hour, in addition to 401k matching and comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance options.
