Role Details:
- Contract position: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
- Assignment dates: ASAP start through 5/26/2027
- Onsite only—located at a middle school in the greater Harlem area
Qualifications:
- Active GaPSC Certification or Georgia General SPED Certification (or similar)
- Prior experience in a school-based special education setting
- Solid skills in classroom management, IEP support, and collaboration with educational teams
- Ability to provide comprehensive documentation and maintain compliance with special education laws
- Reliable transportation to ensure consistent onsite attendance
- Full-time availability without significant scheduling conflicts
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction, modifications, and accommodations to meet a diverse set of learning needs
- Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings, tracking student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Foster a supportive, structured classroom climate to encourage academic growth
- Work in partnership with teachers, families, and support personnel
