Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education is required
- State of Illinois Special Education licensure and LBS1 endorsement necessary
- Experience providing instruction in school settings preferred, but strong new graduates encouraged to apply
- Passion for working with students who have significant support needs
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for individualized instruction and care
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and interventions tailored to students’ academic and functional needs
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and regularly measure progress
- Coordinate with therapists, nurses, and related service providers
- Provide direct support with daily routines and medical/physical needs within the classroom
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment for all learners
