Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (EC-6 or equivalent)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in resource or inclusion settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and team members
- Organizational skills and adaptability to manage diverse learning needs
- Positive, student-centered approach and a commitment to inclusive education
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying learning needs within resource and inclusion classrooms
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure student success
- Utilize data-driven interventions and track student progress effectively
- Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment
