Special Education Teacher - Bellwood, Illinois

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Middle school teaching experience preferred
- Thorough understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Skill in delivering cross-categorical instruction for students with diverse learning profiles
- Collaborative spirit for teaming with aides, service providers, and families
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction customized to students’ IEPs and educational standards
- Utilize evidence-based interventions across academic and behavioral domains
- Incorporate visual, sensory, and communication supports to maximize engagement and success
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as needed
- Work collaboratively with aides and related service staff to provide comprehensive student support
- Engage in ongoing communication with families regarding student progress and programming
