Qualifications:

  • Current Vermont Early Childhood Endorsement, or eligibility for a provisional license.
  • Background as a Special Education Teacher (SPED), preferably with early childhood experience.
  • Ability to effectively manage caseload growth throughout the school year.
  • Willingness to travel between 3-4 sites (itinerant role).
  • Adaptability and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to early childhood students in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide support and consultation to classroom staff across multiple sites.
  • Foster an inclusive, nurturing learning environment.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Work full-time (8:00am–3:30pm) or part-time based on availability.
  • Begin the assignment on August 20th or later in the first semester.
