What We’re Looking For:
- Active teaching license with a gifted certification
- Experience working as a Special Education Teacher, with a focus on gifted and talented populations
- Familiarity with IEP systems and documentation
- Willingness to travel for itinerant assignments (mileage reimbursement available)
- Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and program needs
- Updated background check and fingerprint clearance, per school/district policy
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and families
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to gifted and talented students
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and support teams to develop and implement IEPs
- Serve as an advocate for exceptional learners within the general and special education environment
- Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluation processes, and school board reviews as needed
- Maintain all necessary records in compliance with district and state requirements
- Provide support across one middle and high school campus, leveraging resources for best student outcomes
