Multiple Special Education roles are available across grade levels and focus areas, including urgent needs at the high school level for English and Biology (requiring current High School certification), as well as positions in Middle School Resource, Elementary Intensive Learning Center (ILC), a combined pullout/inclusion setting, and PreK. With a collaborative atmosphere, these roles foster innovation and teamwork while supporting students and their diverse needs.
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active New Mexico Special Education licensure (required)
- For high school English and Biology: current High School teaching certificate specific to subject
- Strong background working in SPED settings, across various grade levels
- Passion for individualized instruction and inclusive educational practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Adaptable and resourceful in dynamic classroom environments
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to specific learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Foster positive student engagement and progress monitoring
- Maintain detailed records and communicate progress to families and teams
- Contribute to a respectful, safe, and supportive learning environment
