The school is seeking experienced educators to fill multiple high-need positions. Priority is given to Special Education teachers certified to teach High School English and Biology, but opportunities are also available for those specializing in Middle School Resource classrooms, Intensive Learning Center (ILC) programs at the elementary level, pullout/inclusion settings, and Pre-K special education.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Mexico teaching license with appropriate endorsements for Special Education
- High School certification for English and/or Biology for HS roles
- Experience with IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication skills and commitment to inclusive practices
- Ability to collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Previous school-based or classroom teaching experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in collaboration with the IEP team
- Foster a positive, supportive, and safe classroom environment
- Modify general education curriculum as needed for students
- Track student progress and maintain accurate records
- Effectively manage classroom routines and behavior
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities
