Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Alabama Special Education Teacher Certification (or eligible for reciprocity; process takes approximately six weeks)
- Prior experience in self-contained special education settings, ideally with elementary age groups
- Strong commitment to individualized education, IEP documentation, and collaboration
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs and caseload adjustments
- For local applicants: ability to participate in an in-person interview at the school
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional instructional strategies and behavioral interventions aligned with IEPs
- Collaborate with co-teachers, aides, and support staff to create the best outcomes for students
