Your expertise will focus on guiding a small group of students (currently 5-6, with the potential to grow to 8 by year’s end), fostering both independence and academic progress. You’ll be supported by 1-2 aides in a structured, nurturing setting.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Valid Alabama Special Education Teacher Certification (or eligible for reciprocity; process takes approximately six weeks)
  • Prior experience in self-contained special education settings, ideally with elementary age groups
  • Strong commitment to individualized education, IEP documentation, and collaboration
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving student needs and caseload adjustments
  • For local applicants: ability to participate in an in-person interview at the school

Key Responsibilities:
