Special Education Teacher - Fort Mitchell, Alabama

Qualifications:
- Active Alabama Special Education Teacher Certification (SPED TCert) required
- Experience working with K–2nd grade students preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to adapt instruction for individual learning styles and needs
- Passion for fostering growth and inclusion in every student
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Use differentiated instruction to meet unique academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Work closely with support staff, general education teachers, and families
- Track and report student progress toward established goals
- Cultivate an encouraging, safe, and engaging classroom environment
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and school-based professional development
This position begins August 3, 2026 and continues through May 26, 2027. You’ll enjoy a Monday through Friday schedule (35 hours/week) with a manageable caseload of young learners—all while earning $40 per hour.
