Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) is required and must be current.
- LBS 1 Endorsement required.
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with K-12 students receiving special education services.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective partnership with support staff and families.
- Comfortable adapting to various teaching environments, including virtual classrooms.
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals and educational best practices.
- Develop engaging lesson plans and modify curriculum materials to fit unique learning needs.
- Assess student progress, document data, and report on outcomes.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, families, and related service providers.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights to help students succeed.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of attendance, plans, and student performance.
- Provide classroom structure and behavioral support in both onsite and virtual settings.
This position is 35 hours per week, aligning with a typical school schedule and offering excellent work-life balance. Candidates can look forward to a responsive interview process, with slots open after 12:00 PM on Wednesday or open availability on Thursday.
