In this full-time, K-3 self-contained classroom setting for the 26/27 school year, you will support a caseload of 8-9 students with multi needs, including severe/profound disabilities and nonverbal or limited language skills, many of whom are on the autism spectrum. You’ll have the support of 3-4 dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with K-3 aged students preferred
- Ability to skillfully support students with severe/profound needs and nonverbal or limited language abilities
- Collaborative mindset to work alongside paraprofessionals and related service staff
- Adaptability and strong classroom management skills

- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt curriculum to meet diverse student needs
- Lead and collaborate with paraprofessionals in the classroom
