Qualifications:
- Active Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) certification valid in New Jersey
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English is required
- Experience assessing and supporting students with learning disabilities in a school setting
- Deep understanding of special education processes and K-12 evaluation methodologies
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexible mindset with the ability to navigate various grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive educational evaluations exclusively (no ongoing caseload management)
- Work directly with students in-person across K-12 grade levels to determine strengths and areas of need
- Utilize culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools to serve Spanish-speaking populations effectively
- Collaborate with general and special education staff to interpret evaluation findings and inform IEP development
- Maintain clear, thorough documentation to support eligibility determinations
