Special Education Teacher in Bristol, CT

Key Requirements:
- Certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience working with K-7th grade students in a resource or case management setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IDEA, IEP development, and individualized instructional strategies
- Skilled in collaborating with general education teachers, related services staff, and families
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusion
- Organized, adaptable, and able to respond to dynamic classroom environments
- Candidates must be able to work on-site (no virtual/remote options available)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to students with IEPs in small group or one-on-one settings
- Serve as case manager by developing and monitoring IEPs, collecting data, and communicating student progress
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to support academic and behavioral goals
- Design, adapt, and implement resources and behavior plans tailored to student needs
- Foster positive relationships with students and families, facilitating successful learning outcomes
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and required documentation activities
