Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher License (required)
- Orton Gillingham Credential (required), demonstrating proficiency in structured literacy interventions
- Experience working with middle or high school-aged students, preferably in a 1:1 instructional setting
- Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored, evidence-based reading interventions to assigned students
- Create an encouraging and safe classroom environment that meets diverse learning needs
- Collaborate closely with school staff to optimize IEP implementation and student outcomes
- Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies to maximize student growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Engage in ongoing professional development on best practices in special education and reading intervention
