You’ll be welcomed into a district eager for your expertise across three distinct programs serving students in special education. Whether working with younger children just learning classroom routines, older students refining independence and social skills, or transition-age youth building life and career readiness, you'll make a measurable difference.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Special Education Teacher certification/eligibility
- Experience with one or more of these groups: K–5, upper elementary/middle school, or high school/transition-age students
- Understanding of disabilities including Autism, behavioral/emotional challenges, intellectual and learning disabilities
- Strong ability to provide structure and individualized support
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specially designed instruction to assigned students with disabilities
- Foster academic, behavioral, and life skills growth aligned with program focus (Lower/Upper Rising Stars and/or Jump Start)
- Implement and adapt curriculum to meet IEP goals
- Guide students in developing social, emotional, and independence skills
- Collaborate with staff and families to promote holistic student growth
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP processes
