Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Valid Colorado Special Education Certificate is required
- Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a school-based setting
- Experience with IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Comfortable managing case loads for either middle or high school students
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse needs
- Provide direct instruction, support, and accommodations to help students achieve academic and functional goals
- Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure student progress
- Document student performance and maintain accurate case management records in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities as required
