Dyslexia Special Education Teacher - Buda, Texas
Step into a rewarding teaching position helping students overcome reading challenges as a Dyslexia Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, serving a vibrant mix of Special Education and General Education students. With a manageable caseload of approximately 25 learners—primarily in the EC-6 range—you’ll deliver targeted instruction using evidence-based approaches.
In this role, you’ll utilize your expertise in Reading by Design or Basic Language Skills, supporting students’ literacy and academic growth. Active participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is essential, as is the ability to partner with staff and families to foster a positive, inclusive educational environment. Certification requirements include a valid Texas Educator License with both Special Education and Core/Generalist endorsements.
Key Qualifications:
- Texas Educator License with Special Education and Generalist/Core endorsements required
- Trained in Reading by Design or Basic Language Skills (preferred)
- Prior experience in Special Education and Dyslexia intervention is highly valued
- Comfortable attending and contributing to ARD meetings
- Skilled in managing and instructing a diverse caseload
- Adherence to school dress code policies to support campus culture
Primary Responsibilities:
