Step into a meaningful contract position as a dedicated Dyslexia Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, conveniently scheduled weekdays from 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 25 students, with particular emphasis on EC-6, though Upper School opportunities may be available as well.
You'll work closely with students identified with dyslexia, utilizing programs such as Reading by Design. Candidates who have certification or training in Basic Language Skills are especially encouraged to apply. Regular participation in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings is essential, as you'll collaborate with teams to develop and implement individualized education plans.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Department of Education License with Special Education and Generalist/Core Endorsements
- Demonstrated experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) processes
- Experience teaching students with dyslexia, with preference for Reading by Design or Basic Language Skills training or certification
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment and adhering to dress code policies (including no dyed hair or excessive piercings)

- Provide targeted reading instruction and intervention for students with dyslexia
