Special Education Teacher - Burnsville, Minnesota

Caseloads are carefully managed, typically ranging from 4-19 students depending on placement and setting, ensuring you have the resources and time to build meaningful connections.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Experience with setting-based instruction, including Settings 1-4 and itinerant services
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities
- Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, paraprofessionals, and families
- Effective communication and organizational skills to document student progress and individual education plans (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs for students
- Deliver direct instruction, both in classroom and homebound environments, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Collect data and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Provide consultative services to colleagues and families
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
