Resource/Inclusion Teacher Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in resource and inclusive classroom settings.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Foster positive relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to support student success.
Special Education Case Manager Responsibilities
(Case Management Only – No Direct Classroom Teaching Responsibilities)
- Manage a caseload of students receiving special education services.
- Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies.
- Maintain accurate and timely special education documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, service providers, administrators, and families.
- Monitor student services and ensure implementation of IEPs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid New Mexico Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in special education is preferred but qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.
