Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Degree in Special Education or a related field
- Experience in individualized education program (IEP) development and implementation
- Ability to serve as both Special Education Teacher and Case Manager
- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavioral strategies
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Previous experience partnering with staff and families to support student growth is highly valued
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
- Provide direct instruction tailored to each student’s abilities, adapting materials and strategies as needed
- Serve as Case Manager, coordinating services and acting as the primary contact for assigned students and their families
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and related service providers to promote student success
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development and regular team meetings
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and encouraged
