Required Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- 1-2 years of direct experience as a Special Education Teacher
- Demonstrated experience supporting K-2 students in cross-categorical settings
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to implement individualized goals
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with parents, staff, and administration
- Positive, patient, and resourceful approach to classroom management
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver personalized lesson plans for a caseload of eight K-2 students with a range of needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a tailored learning experience
- Create and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and maintain compliance with all requirements
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed to foster academic and social success
- Cultivate a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment
