A junior high school is seeking a contract educator with expertise in both English and Spanish to support their 6th-8th grade students for the 2026-2027 academic year. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Illinois Special Education teaching certification
- Fluency in both English and Spanish required
- Proven experience in junior high or high school special education settings

- Track record of supporting diverse learning needs and building positive relationships with students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to 6th-8th grade students in a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student growth and access to learning opportunities
- Use English and Spanish to ensure comprehension and meaningful participation for all students
- Monitor and document progress, making data-driven adjustments as necessary
- Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development within a nurturing setting
