Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered Intervention Specialist to support high school students in a Dropout Recovery Program. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about helping at-risk students overcome barriers, re-engage in their education, and achieve academic success.
The Intervention Specialist will provide specialized instruction, case management, and individualized support while collaborating with school staff, students, and families to create pathways toward graduation and long-term success.
Responsibilities
Provide specialized educational support and intervention services to high school students
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations as needed
Serve as case manager for assigned students
Monitor academic progress and student engagement
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and families to support student success
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with special education requirements
Participate in team meetings, IEP meetings, and progress reviews
Support students in overcoming academic, behavioral, and attendance-related challenges

Focus on student engagement, credit recovery, graduation planning, and individualized support
Qualifications
Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License required
Experience working with high school students preferred
Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and case management practices
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Commitment to supporting students with diverse educational and behavioral needs
