Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate Intervention Specialists to join a supportive school district in Newark, Ohio for the 2026–2027 school year. Multiple openings are available across elementary and high school settings, providing opportunities to work with diverse student populations and educational needs.

Elementary Self-Contained Classrooms (2 Openings)
Grade Level: Elementary
Classroom Setting: Self-Contained Special Education
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
Collaborate with related service providers, support staff, and families to promote student success
High School Co-Teaching Classrooms (2 Openings)
Grade Level: High School
Classroom Setting: Co-Teaching/Inclusion
Partner with general education teachers to provide accommodations, modifications, and specialized instruction
Support students in accessing grade-level curriculum while meeting IEP goals
Multiple Disabilities (MD) Self-Contained Classroom (1 Opening)
Classroom Setting: Self-Contained Multiple Disabilities Program
Deliver individualized instruction and support for students with significant and complex learning needs
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure students receive comprehensive educational services
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Provide specialized instruction aligned with student goals and educational standards
Serve as case manager for assigned students
Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring records
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities
Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Qualifications
Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License required
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
Knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and compliance requirements
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
