This rewarding position covers multiple high-priority areas, including High School English and Biology (requiring appropriate high school certification), Middle School Resource, Elementary ILC (Intensive Learning Center), Pullout/Inclusion combos, and Pre-K Special Education. With a total of eight positions available and a consistent 37.5-hour workweek, you’ll work on-site, creating meaningful impact within your assigned caseload from August 10, 2026, through May 20, 2027.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Special Education licensure in New Mexico (required)
- Certification for High School English and/or Biology for relevant openings
- Experience supporting students in resource, ILC, inclusion, or pullout settings preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to fostering growth, independence, and confidence in every learner
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ strengths and challenges
- Adapt curriculum to meet a wide range of learning needs
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, aides, and support staff
- Maintain consistent communication with families about progress and goals
- Monitor and document academic, behavioral, and social progress for each student
- Maintain compliance with school policies and state regulations
